A 35-YEAR-OLD man got wounded after he was shot by his friend at the height of their argument in front of a burger joint along Imus Road, Barangay Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City on Friday at 11 p.m., December 2, 2022.
Police Corporal Rheniel Jay Docejo of Parian Police Station identified the victim as Jose Dondon Son, 35, a resident of Barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City.
Police investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect, whom the former identified only by his name Talan, met at a burger joint and later engaged in a heated argument.
Talan reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice in the neck and arm.
Son also retaliated but missed his target.
Fortunately, nobody in the area was hit by stray bullets.
The attendant of a 24-hour burger joint decided to close their shop early due to the incident.
Docejo went to the Cebu City Medical Center to investigate the victim but he was refused entry as the victim is still being observed by attending physicians. (BBT, TPT)
