Different Eagles clubs, police distribute bundles of joy to PUJ drivers

THE Fraternal Order of Eagles from the different clubs in Cebu distributed bundles of joy to the public utility jeepney (PUJ) drivers together with the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) headed by Police Chief Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Dubbed as “Checkpoint of Joy,” PUJ drivers passing in front of the CCPO headquarters in Camp Sotero Cabahug on Gorordo Avenue were flagged down as if they committed a traffic violation, unaware that they would be given five kilos of rice each as their early Christmas gifts.

The different Eagles clubs such as the Ilustrados Eagles Club, Leon Kilat Eagles Club, Cebu Unified Eagles Club, Sugbo Hermanos Eagles Club, Southern Cebu Peace Maker Eagles Club, Cebu Queseo Eagles Club ug Mandaue Eagles Club contributed funds for the purchase of bundles of joy for drivers that were distributed to the 11 police stations in the city.

Also on Thursday, the Continental Eagles Club coordinated with the CCPO for the distribution of 300 baby diapers for the newborns at the Cebu City Medical Center and Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. (AYB, TPT)
