Student nabbed in Sibugay anti-drug sting

A STUDENT listed as a street-level individual (SLI) drug personality was arrested in an intelligence-driven anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Saturday, December 3.

Police Colonel Eduard Mallo, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested suspect as Khaleed Aquilan, 18, a grade 12 student, a resident of African Daisy in Kitabog village, Titay.

Mallo said that Aquilan was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 6:40 p.m. Friday, December 2, in Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Mallo said seized from Aquilan were some 6.103 grams of suspected shabu packed in seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with P41,500, one wallet cellular phone, P500 marked money and illegal drug paraphernalia.

He said the arrested suspect was detained at Ipil Municipal Police Station while charges are being readied against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
