Batch 2002 erased a 15-point deficit to defeat Batch 2005, 71-62, in Division B of the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) Alumni Inter-Batch Basketball Tournament last Sunday at the USPF gym in Lahug.

Batch 2002 faced a 25-40 deficit but kept their composure and rallied in the fourth period with a 22-9 run to pick up the victory. Marvin Pulvera led 2002 with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Fritz Rosales had 15 markers and six boards.

In other Division B matches, Batch 2003 creamed 2000, 87-73. The victory was an easy one for 2003 as they led from the get-go and never looked back. Elmer Ratilla had 17 points and nine boards for 2003, while Steven Bere and Bernard Echiverri added 16 and 10 markers, respectively.

In Division A, Batch 1997 routed Prince Stores 1994, 76-60. Reynaldo Cortes had 13 points and five rebounds, while Diosdado Ducay put up 12 points and six boards for the winning side.

Batch 1992 edged 1996, 75-74, thanks to the efforts of Richard Bauzon who tallied 24 points, seven boards, and three assists.

Batch 1995 also emerged victorious over 1991, 63-50. Edward Castaneda had 13 points and eight boards in the win for 1995.
