Delivery service app offers business opportunities as holiday orders surge

DELIVERY service app Lalamove is offering livelihood opportunities to existing delivery drivers who are looking for an extra source of income this holiday season and sign up as part-time Lalamove partner drivers.

This Asia-based technology company anticipates increased demand for same-day and long-distance deliveries, particularly trucks, as logistics become a lucrative business in the Philippines. The company said aspiring entrepreneurs who want to venture into the logistics industry may use Lalamove’s platform whether full-time or part-time.

“Lalamove has been consistently seeking ways to empower our partner drivers—our micro-entrepreneurs—to be their own boss. For those looking for a means to earn more, this holiday season is a great time to jumpstart a side hustle and enjoy the perks and opportunities that come with being a part-time partner driver,” said Lalamove Philippines managing director Dannah Majarocon in a statement.

Lalamove’s platform offers different types of vehicles to provide on-demand delivery service—trucks, sedans, multi-purpose vehicles or motorcycles.

“Same-day long distance delivery is highly in demand especially during the holiday season, making it timely for four-wheel owners who want to work as part-time partner drivers to earn more without being on the app the whole day,” the company said.

Lalamove has 48 serviceable areas spread out across Luzon and Cebu. Based on Lalamove’s internal database, full-time partner drivers earn up to P40,000 per month, and up to P130,000 for trucks.

With the wide serviceable coverage paired with over 20,000 active corporate clients of Lalamove, on top of millions of individual app users, in need of delivery services, full-time and part-time drivers may earn big time in this venture.

Lalamove also ensures its partner drivers get to enjoy perks and discounts be it fuel, insurance, healthcare, vehicle maintenance and purchase, financing, gadgets and gears, food and groceries, apparel, and more. Part-timers also have access to benefits as well as free personal accident insurance coverage.

Interested part-time drivers may download the Lalamove drive app to sign up. (KOC)
