OVP: Application forms for social services are free

THE Office of the Vice President (OVP) warned the public against paying for application forms for social services, stressing that these documents are free.

"The Office of the Vice President reiterated that application forms for social services are not for sale," the OVP said in a statement.

The office of Vice President Sara Duterte said they have been receiving reports from several individuals on the sale of public assistance application forms which are used to document client profiles applying for Medical and Burial Assistance Program (MABP).

The OVP said that medical and burial assistance is among the social services implemented by the OVP, and these have been the most requested aid of marginalized Filipinos.

As of December 2, the assistance program has already benefited 19,910 indigent Filipinos with aid amounting to P179,591,068.67.

Aside from the OVP Central Office in Mandaluyong, medical and burial assistance is also given in the seven OVP Satellite Offices across the country.

The OVP also emphasized that the free public assistance application forms are available in the central and satellite offices and should solely be used by the clients requesting such services.

The OVP has seven existing satellite offices in Bacolod, Surigao del Sur, Cebu, Davao, Tacloban, Dagupan, and Zamboanga.

Its central office is housed at the Robinsons Cybergate Plaza in Mandaluyong City. RGL
