OVER 4,200 senior citizens in Cordova town, Cebu have received their P1,000 Christmas bonus from the Municipal Government.
The distribution of the Christmas bonus was led by Mayor Cesar Suan and Vice Mayor Boyet Tago, with members of the Municipal Council, on December 8, 2022.
Suan said the cash bonus was one of the things he promised to his constituents when he campaigned for mayor in last May’s elections.
Each of the 4,229 senior citizens received P1,000, which they can use to buy their daily needs, especially medicines.
The Municipal Council has earlier eyed providing monthly financial assistance to the town’s senior citizens, especially those who were not enrolled under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s social pension. (ANV/LMY)
