WHEN I was introduced to realme in 2019 through realme 5 Pro, I was very much impressed with the brand and its smartphone. My realme 5 Pro, which was their latest mid-range phone then, was a truly reliable companion with a great camera, smooth performance, and long battery life.

Hence, when I upgraded my phone, I stuck with the brand and opted for their realme 9 Pro+. Just like my realme 5 Pro, my realme 9 Pro+ was also reliable and proved to be a top-notch phone.

Up until this point, I have only tried the brand's mid-range phones. But lately, I have been using the realme C33 (P7,499) as a second phone, especially for work.

The phone was introduced in the Philippines on October 14, 2022. For its price, the phone is definitely value for money.

Realme C33 features an 8.3mm Ultra Slim Boundless Sea Design and a 6.5" HD+ LCD Display. I find the phone to be lightweight and I like how it feels on my palm. I also love the Aqua Blue color of the phone, I find it to be quite stylish.

The phone is also powered by a Unisoc T612 Processor. This has allowed me to enjoy a smooth operating performance despite this being only an entry-level phone. I was able to catch up with some work using office-related apps and did not find any serious issues while using the phone.

Also equipped with a Mali-G57 GPU, realme C33 offers a quite smooth and enjoyable gaming experience. While not much of a gamer, I was able to play some games on my phone. While the phone did heat a bit while playing, I did not experience any lags.

I think what I really like about C33, or any of the realme smartphones in general, is the long battery life. Equipped with a 5000mAh battery, the smartphone lasted more than a day with me. I mainly used the phone for work, surfing the net, watching some videos on Youtube, listening to a bit of music, and playing some games for a few minutes. However, charging the phone took a while. I waited for around 30 minutes or more for it to be fully charged.

Meanwhile, I was also quite impressed with the phone camera. The phone is equipped with a 50MP AI Camera allowing me to capture some clear photos. I think the colors of the photo were vibrant. The photos of the food I took looked mouthwatering.

The phone also has a 4GB+64GB RAM and storage. The storage itself is also quite impressive, especially if the phone is solely used for work.

Overall, I find the realme C33 a solid entry-level phone. At the price of P7,499 for the 4GB+64GB storage variant, the phone operates smoothly, has decent graphics, and has solid battery life. If you are looking for a reliable yet affordable phone as your workhorse, the C33 would nicely fill in those needs. RJL
