Priest's liturgical music featured in mall event

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The SM Supermalls is celebrating the country’s performing arts with the launching of ‘My City, My SM, My Music’.

The program was officially launched at the SM City Pampanga on Friday, December 9.

It featured the journey of the Father of Kapampangan Liturgical Music, Monsignor Gregorio Lazatin Canlas.

SM Supermalls Regional Operations Manager North IV Andrea Madlangbayan-Rodriguez said ‘My City, My SM, My Music’ aims to promote the beauty of Kapampangan liturgical music.

“We are celebrating the Kapampangan liturgical music by honoring Monsignor Gregorio Lazatin Canlas and also the foundress of Mirabilia Dei Foundation Inc. Ms. Consuelo Mendoza,” she said.

The event was highlighted by the performances of Kapampangan liturgical musics of Mirabilia Dei Foundation Inc. choir group.

SM partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, Filipino Festival Inc., World Championships of Performing Arts Team Philippines, and the Philippine Star, with support from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, National Music Competitions for Young Artists and Tahanan Books.

The event is part of the My SM, My City campaign which aims to promote tourism through the showcase of Philippine arts.
