Ang pagkunhod sa rate tungod sa gamay nga pagminus sa mga presyo sa coal sa merkado sa kalibutan, pag-ubos sa presyo sa kuryente sa Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) ug pagsuspenso sa pagkolekta sa Feed-In-Tariff Allowance (FIT-ALL) nga gimando sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Ang pagsuspenso sa koleksyon sa FIT-ALL sa kasamtangan gimando sa ERC hangtod sa pagpaubos sa Nobiyembre 29, 2022 nga rates sa kuryente ug makatabang sa mga konsumidor sa pagsagubang sa nagkataas nga inflation.
Sumala sa mando sa ERC, ang pagsuspenso magsugod sa Disyembre 2022 hangtod sa Pebrero 2023.
Bisan pa sa gamay nga pagkunhod sa residential rates, gitambagan ni Lucero ang mga kustomer sa Visayan Electric nga magpabilin gihapong mahunahunaon sa ilang paggamit sa kuryente aron malikayan ang pagsulbong sa bayrunon.
“Historically, electricity consumption would really go up during the holiday season because of all the parties, the food we store at home and the Christmas lights we use. Which is why we are still calling on our customers to be mindful of their use of electricity. Turn off appliances when not in use to save power and manage your electricity bill,” matud ni Lucero.
