Mall's Lantern of Hope returns

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO SM City Pampanga’s Biggest Lantern of Hope has returned and brighten the sky with colorful fireworks on Friday.

Now in its 6th year, the pyro musical show lighted up this year's holiday season at the Christmas Capital of the Philippines after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

The Pampanga Eye, which stands as the biggest and tallest ferris wheel in the country, transformed into the biggest Christmas lantern with over 17,664 dancing LED lights installed on it.

A 10-minute fireworks display which danced to all-time favorite Christmas carols wowed shoppers and even netizens who caught a glimpse of the show through social media.

Andrea Madlangbayan-Rodriguez, Regional Operations Manager North IV of SM Supermalls, said they made this year’s event grander and brighter to make-up with the two-year hiatus.

“Bumabalik po tayo ngayon bigger and brighter with our 10-minute long grand fireworks display dahil two years din tayong hindi talaga nakapag-celebrate ng Pasko,” she said.

Shoppers may still enjoy a 5-minute fireworks display at Sky Ranch Pampanga starting at 7 pm on December 23 and 30.
