Jose B. Lingad museum opens in Lubao town

LUBAO The Museo ni Jose B. Lingad in Barangay San Nicolas 1st in this town has officially opened to the public on Friday.

The museum's opening highlighted the commemoration of the 42nd death anniversary of the late Kapampangan hero.

It features some of Lingad’s personal belongings and life stories which were retrieved and donated by researchers from National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and the Lingad family.

The museum site is also the ancestral home of Lingad which was restored by the NHCP.

Jacqueline Lingad-Ricci, daughter of the Kapampangan hero, said the museum is a celebration of the life of their father as a boy from Lubao to a public servant.

She expressed gratitude to NHCP and the local government of Lubao for their efforts which led to the realization of the project.

NHCP Officer-in-Charge Carminda Arevalo expressed hope that many youth will visit the museum to learn about the life of Lingad.

The Jose B. Lingad Museum is open on Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM.
