SAN SIMON The local government unit (LGU) here bagged another award during the 2022 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index of the Department of Trade and Industry.
The LGU ranked 10th Economic Dynamism category for third to fourth class municipalities.
It bested over 600 other municipalities in its class-category across the Philippines.
Mayor Abundio “JP” Punsalan said the award is a testament of the sustained effort of the LGU to uplift the economy in town.
“Itong award na ito ay patunay na masigla ang ekonomiya dito sa San Simon at nakabangon na ang mga businesses natin dito mula sa pandemya,” he said.
Punsalan also assured investors and micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) of continuous support from the LGU.
He said various kinds of assistance are offered to investors and MSMEs to ensure ease of doing business in town.
“Mula sa pagbigay ng pandagdag ng kapital, livelihood and skills training at sa pagkuha ng business permit, pinapadali natin lahat para sa ating mga negosyante,” he said.
