Lovingly and endearingly marking silver on their wedding calendar were attractive couple, Tommy del Mar Jr. and Flor Guial, blissfully basking in forever togetherness.
Former Cebu residents, now Manila-based, Tommy and Flor strengthened their relationship during their stint at Cebu Toastmasters Club, an organization that hones members in exemplary public speaking.
The Renewal of Wedding Vows was performed at the St. Joseph’s Chapel at the Archbishop’s Palace-Cebu, with Rev. Fr. Jun Sescon of the Archdiocese of Manila presiding.
Also adding their special presence were sponsors Tere Solon, Stella Bernabe, Nimfa Alo, Narsing Solon and Boy Tabelon looking fabulous even after a quarter of a century!
Creating another close-knit group were friends and secondary sponsors Rosalie Chua, Merma Restificar, Rose Yips-Tio, Ronald Tio, Bernard Restficar and Winbert Chua.
Casino Español de Cebu was the venue for the intimate dinner reception, with artfully draped décor by wedding coordinator Alexander Youseff, featuring a centerpiece elevated platform for the soon-to-be “surprise” of the evening!
Dinner was superbly prepared by the club’s chef, and appropriate entertainment delightfully presented by the couple’s nieces and nephews. Guests included the couple’s legion of friends, family, workplace colleagues, schoolmates, club affiliations etc.
And here’s the much-awaited “surprise” of the love feast: the years have been generous to Tommy and Flor, who excelled as topnotch Toastmasters during their time. Now, they have evolved into Musicmasters, giving their many guests a free concert aptly entitled “Duets: 25 Years of Tommy and Flor del Mar.” Thunderously applauded were their vocal renditions of Broadway and Motown hits!
