SOME 117 senior citizens and 20 trisikad drivers from Barangay 39 in Bacolod City were given recognition as part of the program spearheaded by PENRO Negros Occidental “Pamaskwa kay Lolo kag Lola, Tuesday, December 20.
A short program was conducted and gift packs were distributed to all senior citizens and trisikad drivers of Brgy. 39.
On behalf of OIC-PENRO Joan Nathaniel F. Gerangaya, Chief-TSD Catherine Balasa gave her message encouraging everyone to continue giving honor and respect to all senior citizens.
The said activity was conducted as part of the social responsibility of the office and in support of the several laws that recognize the contributions of the senior citizens in the society.
Vilma dela Vega, Vice President of the Senior Citizens Organization of Barangay 39, expressed her gratitude to the whole PENRO Negros Occidental family for remembering them and for conducting the activity yearly and letting them feel loved. (PR)
