THE NATION’S flag carrier Philippine Airlines has commenced services between Cebu and the Bangsamoro Region. On Dec. 1, 2022, non-stop Cebu-Cotabato flights and one-stop Cebu-Tawi-Tawi flights have started operations from Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City.

Indeed, very enthusiastic about Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) Bangsamoro routes is Vice President for Sales Bud Britanico. He announced: “Our new Cebu-Cotabato-Tawi-Tawi service brings good news to our Cebuano and Bangsamoro compatriots for the holidays. We hope to connect families, spur holiday travel and reactivate business in the BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao).”

This new PAL service adds Cotabato City and Tawi-Tawi to the growing network of inter-island flights out of the flag carrier’s Mactan-Cebu hub, supporting the recovery of domestic tourism and economic development throughout the islands.

“In addition, this is a huge opportunity to increase tourism revenue and enjoy good business. We at PAL will do our best to promote travel to Borongan not only from Cebu, but also from Manila, and other cities in PAL’s domestic network,” he concluded.
