Nagkanayon si Cebu City Sports Commissioner (CCSC) Commissioner Lorenzo “Chao” Sy nga ang kompetisyon tipik sa kasaulogan sa Cebu City Charter Day.
Ning maong torneyo, ikaparang sa Bulldogs ug Red Lions ang 2022 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) champion University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers ug runner-up University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters.
Ang upat ka teams magtigi sa single round-robin sulod sa tulo ka mga adlaw diin ang makahipos sa labing daghang daog mao ang mahimong kampyon.
Ang kampyon sa torneyo makabulsa og P100,000, makadawat og P70,000 ang 2nd placer, P40,000 sa 3rd placer ug P20,000 sa 4th placer.
Ang Bulldogs maoy kampyon sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) niadtong 2021-22 season samtang ang Red Lions usa ka multi-titled squad sa National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Matod ni Sy nga sa dili pa mohamag ang Bulldogs ug Red Lions sa nahisgutang pocket tournament, magsangka una kini og exhibition game karong Pebrero 27, 2023 sa Bogo City ug karong Pebrero 28, 2023 sa Toledo City.
