YES, it’s 2023!

May the new year bring us a refreshed resolve to meet the surprises and challenges of the year with a renewed spirit of excitement, readiness, and a prayerful perspective.

Past is past, and let bygones be bygones. We all have our share of challenges that were teeth-gritting. But having a resilient spirit, such tough episodes, fortunately, ended up with smiles on our faces because 2022 is now a bygone.

But what is indeed the nature and expectations this 2023? In the year of the Water Rabbit?

In my readings of Chinese culture and traditions, this year upholds an overview of the importance of longevity, peace, and prosperity and is also a good year for those who are planning to settle down and be blessed with the commitment-centered bond of marriage.

The Rabbit, being the fourth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle, starts its cycle on February 4, 2023 and ends on February 9, 2024.

I know that those who born under these Zodiac signs of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces are preparing to improve more insofar as their family relationship, work, business, career, health, economic prosperity and spiritual lives.

There is no other substitute for working hard in terms of your dreams and aspirations in life.

But is Chinese symbolism indeed an aid in reversing situations that were not good in the past year?

I asked around and got this insight from my friend, Iya. She helped shed light a bit on the matter.

She showed me that the Chinese symbols for luck, happiness, love, prosperity, good health, and charms can help prevent accidents and not-so-good occurrences.

Some of these possessions are magenta bracelets, the rabbits, the Buddha, the waving hand of the maneki-neko (welcoming cat) that is considered a money catcher for businesses, and many others.

“Many are indeed a believer in Chinese charms (Beatrice Charms). But one must also see to it that he must combine it with hard work. These charms can only facilitate blessings as long as you also do the necessary things and actions that can help you realize your dreams,” she said.

But it is good to have these Chinese symbols just to pave the way for a more optimistic-driven destiny.

She further added to just do what you believe is right, necessary, and fair.

“Llive meaningfully with your loved ones and strengthen friendships with your fellows. That will help make our 2023 more meaningful,” she said.
