Pangan: Ideal destination for investments

THE Bases Conversion and Development Authority, the mother unit of Clark Development Corporation and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, has aggressively pitched selling sprees for the development of Central Luzon as an ideal destination for investments.

It has encouraged South Koreans to lead the group which could find vast investment opportunities in the region which, incidentally, includes the New Clark City in Capas.

Clark Development Corporation has the area for investment developed and is very business-friendly. It has the infrastructure to support its various places for business and development. It has built-in features conducive to foreign (and domestic) infusion of funds. Definitely, CDC is an ideal location for investments, under the BCDA investment wing.

It is understandable that local government officials like Tarlac Governor and Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc.., Susan Yap bats for Cental Luzon as one of the leading growth areas in the country.

She says: First, the centrality of our location. It is easily accessible within two to four-hour air travel from Korea.

Mabalacat City, which is adjacent to the Clark Freeport Zone, home of Clark Development Corporation, shares parallel development with this huge, facility.

It has a seamless road network, from all directions coming from the north and south of the region and with the coming of the PNR railway, travel to and from the city will be a breeze.

The CPDO, or City Planning and Development Office, headed by Rosan S. Paquia, EnP, has mapped out ambitious plans for the city, including infrastructure and locations for businesses.

The large tracts of lands at the front portion of the barangay hall Tabun site and that at the side of Fiesta Communities will provide the impetus for full-grown development not only for Barangay Tabun but also for the City. These may become industrial and commercial hubs which will give the city and the barangay additional revenues and opportunities for employment.

Truly, the succeeding years will see the development of Mabalacat City which aspires to become a highly urbanized city under the leadership of City Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbio and the other city officials.
