A 22-YEAR-OLD farmer was seriously injured after he was attacked by his carabao around 5:20 p.m. Saturday, January 7, in a barangay in Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur.

The victim was identified as Kaharodin Mamaidu, a resident of Barangay Tuka.

According to the family, Kaharodin just returned home from the farm with his carabao when the animal went wild and gored the victim several times in the stomach. The animal gutted him.

Kaharodin's neighbors immediately rescued him from the attacking carabao and brought him to the Maguindanao Provincial Hospital where he immediately underwent an operation.

After the incident, the victim's family sold the carabao, so they can use the proceeds for the victim's hospital expenses. (EEF)
