AVOID CORRUPTION ILLEGAL ACTS

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Police officers in Central Luzon were reminded to turn away from corruption and other forms of illegal activities.

Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen, Police Regional Office III director, issued the reminder to his men during the oath-taking and mass pinning and donning of ranks of newly-promoted policemen on Tuesday.

“Do not cling to corruption, do not engage in illegal activities. Maglingkod kayo ng tapat at taos-puso sa sambayanang Pilipino,” Pasiwen said.

He also reminded newly-promoted officers of the bigger responsibility that comes along with their promotion.

A total of 3,179 Police Commissioned Officers and Police Non-Commissioned Officers in Central Luzon had their simultaneous oath-taking and mass pinning of ranks in all police stations regionwide on the said day.

“Your promotion signifies not only the recognition of your excellent service to the PNP but more importantly, the bigger responsibilities that you have to hold in order to help attain our mission. Huwag kayong makontento sa inyong promotion. I want you to keep going, strive harder, and embrace the challenges at stake ahead of you towards the fulfillment of your dreams," Pasiwen said.

The police official reminder came amidst Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos’ appeal to full-fledged colonels generals to submit courtesy resignations from their posts as the government aims to cleanse their ranks of illegal drug ties.

Pasiwen had earlier led the signing of the courtesy resignation and submitted himself to the investigation process that will be conducted by a five-man committee.
