CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Mayor Vilma Caluag had ordered the construction of more cemetery units inside the Himlayang Fernandino Public Cemetery which she visited recently in a bid to help indigent residents.
Caluag said that the projects are aimed to help more Fernandinos avail of decent burial units. The projects are supervised by the City Engineer's Office led by Engr. Anele David. The realization of the said units is part of Caluag's promise to increase the number of assisted indigent Fernandino families with departed loved ones.
"Nais po natin na madagdagan pa ang mga libreng kabaong at puntod na tulong sa mga Fernandinong namatayan ng pamilya, lalo na po yung mga mahihirap na pamilyang hindi man lang kayang makabili ng mga ito para sa namatay na kapamilya," Caluag said.
Currently, the city government’s programs continue to help Fernandinos who belong to the indigent sector under the Social Services Program of Caluag's 10-point agenda.
