THE Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC), a private power generation company operated by the Alsons Power Group, on Monday, January 16, 2023 turned over to the Zamboanga City Government another set of equipment worth P6.4 million in support of the city's health programs.

Mayor John Dalipe and City Health Officer Dulce Miravite received the donations from WPMC Power Plant manager Jose Mari Torrejon and consultant Ruben Conti during rites held after the flag raising ceremony at the City Hall grounds.

The equipment includes four units Isuzu Travis worth P1.5 million each and 10 units Huawei laptop worth P40,000 each.

The vehicles and equipment were purchased through the electrification fund, which entitles the host community of power generating facilities one centavo share for every kilowatt-hour sale.

Last week, WMPC also turned over P4.7 million worth of equipment to include vehicles and personal protective equipment in support of the anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) campaign. (SunStar Zamboanga)
