The Chinese New Year weekend is all set in Dusit Davao’s all-day dining restaurant, Madayaw Café, and guests are in for a treat that is best spent with friends and family. With lunch and dinner buffets specially curated for the occasion, a promising menu has been prepared by Executive Chef Piya Suthasiri and his culinary team.

From January 21-22, Madayaw Café features Chinese and international dishes in the buffet spread, including a generous dimsum station and courses like beef steak Chinese salad, deep fried salt and pepper shrimp, seafood canton, steamed fish with black bean sauce, kong pao chicken, and carvery classics. The sought-after tikoy and butchi will be the highlight of the dessert station along with other Madayaw Café favorites. The lunch buffet starts at 11:30 AM, and is available until 2:30 PM at Php 1,600 net per person. For the dinner buffet, guests may avail from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM at Php 1,900 net per person.

In a message from General Manager Christoph Kuch, he shares, “We know how much the Chinese community has played a part in the way Davao has evolved through the years, and we would like to give back by giving them a delectable treat here in Dusit. We wish you and your loved ones a bountiful year ahead, and we hope with you that days will continue to be brighter and better.”

The celebration will be highlighted with rituals as the offering of fruits to the lions, throwing of coins for good fortune and returns, distribution of ang paos as tokens of good wishes and the lion and dragon dance by the Davao Lion Dancers Association to drive away bad or evil spirits and usher in good luck and blessings for the community. This will take place in January 21, and guests are welcome to participate. PR
