THE Mati City Fishport Project is expected to be completed by March this year.
Mati City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat made an ocular inspection at the ongoing Mati Fishport Project in Purok Calagundian, Barangay Central.
Rabat made the inspection Thursday afternoon, January 12, 2023, with city consultant on agriculture Eric Rabat and other city officials.
The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority-funded project is 70 percent completed at present.
The 1.9 hectare phase 1 of the said project costs P75 million and is composed of marketing building, administrative building, guard house, road network, park area, drainage facility, seawall, and electrification and water systems.
Phase 2 of the said project will now cover the entire five-hectare property originally planned by the city government.
The project was started on June 19, 2021 and is set to be completed March 2023. MATI CIO
