WORLD Bank Group (WBG) for Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land paid a courtesy visit on January 17 with the City Urban Housing and Development committees to study the government’s existing programs and best practices.
WBG Senior Housing Specialist, Dao Harrison and Bernice Soriano had a conversation with Councilor Vladimir Gonzales, Council committee chair on urban housing and development, with regards to the housing projects in the city and how to address the gaps.
The said meeting was also joined by Bacolod Housing Authority Department Head Ma. Victoria Parreñas, Department of Public Services - Enro Joel Vergara, Federation of Homeowners Association President Rogelio Plaida and Connie Sayson from the City Mayor’s Office.
The WBG aims to work hand in hand with cities because they can embrace change and advancement for economic recovery and development.
HUC’s such as Bacolod City tend to look for best practices that the said group can adhere to provide inputs into the process both financially and technically.
