A CESSNA plane carrying six individuals went missing in the vicinity of Isabela on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines spokesperson Eric Apolonio said C206 Plane RPC1174 departed from Cauayan Airport at 2:15 p.m. headed for Maconacon, Isabela. It was expected to arrive at 2:45 p.m.
The pilot was identified as Captain Eleazar Mark Joven, while the passengers were Tommy Manday, Val Kamatoy, Mark Eiron Siguerra, Xam Siguerra, and Josefa Perla España.
The pilot lost contact at 2:19 p.m. while the plane was in the vicinity of Naguillian Bridge.
A communication search was initiated by Cauayan Tower but to no avail, prompting them to elevate the alert level to distress phase and initiate a search and rescue operation.
