Cops seize P14-M 'shabu' in Bulacan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO More than two kilos of suspected illegal drugs were seized in Marilao, Bulacan on Wednesday, January 25.

Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen, Police Regional Office III director, said the prohibited drugs were confiscated from a certain Marlon Navarro.

Navarro, 44, a resident of Caloocan City, is listed in the town's drug watchlist, Pasiwen said.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of Marilao Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bulacan Provincial Police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Region III.

Two packs of suspected high grade methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) placed inside a Chinese tea bag weighing 2,050 grams and valued at P13,940,000, and boodle money were seized during the operation.

A criminal complaint for Violation of Sec. 5 and sec 11 Art. II of RA 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.
