A FISH vendor was found dead in a vacant lot in Purok Simon Guanzon, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Friday morning, January 27, 2023.
Police identified the victim as Henry Paul Bombate, 22, a resident of Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago.
Major Elmer Bonilla, commander of Police Station 7, said that a concerned citizen informed them that there was a dead body in the area.
He said the victim was found lying on the ground, with his hands and feet tied with a duct tape while his face and eyes were covered with a duct tape.
Bonilla said the victim sustained several gunshot wounds to his head and different parts of his body.
He said there was no recovery of an empty cartridges of the firearms so it’s that the victim was executed in other area.
Bonilla added the residents living nearby did not hear any commotion or gunshots before the discovery of the body.
He said they were informed that before the incident, the victim was allegedly abducted in the area of Barangay Banago.
Bonilla said they are still conducting further investigation to determine the motive and the identity of the perpetrators, adding that they are now coordinating with Police Station 3.
