THE parents of seven minors who were rescued by the police of the Mobile Patrol Group of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) underwent a seminar after their children were involved in a theft inside an old restaurant.

On Friday morning, a security guard called the police when the seven youths were caught stealing electric wires inside a closed Chinese restaurant on F. Torres Street.

The Mobile Patrol Group immediately arrived at the area where the two tried to run but were caught by the responding policemen while the five inside kept picking up electrical wires.

When the five found out that their two companions were already in the mobile patrol, they just boarded after they were cornered.

The restaurant has been closed for a long time but there is still equipment inside.

The minors are residents of Barangay 76-A in Bucana.

The parents of the apprehended minors arrived at the Women and Children's Protection Desk (WCPD) of the San Pedro Police Station, where they were informed of the whereabouts of their children.

Authorities reminded the parents to take care of their children, especially the minors. JPC
