CITY OF SAN FERNANDO A 40-year-old man was arrested on Friday night for alleged possession of unlicensed firearm and illegal drugs.

The suspect identified as Audie Maradial was reportedkyt flagged down in a police checkpoint in Samal, Bataan.

During the inspection, authorities found a caliber .45 gun with magazine and live ammunition and a large sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu).

The suspected shabu weighs around 50 grams worth P300,000, authorities said.

Maradial allegedly failed to present documents for his firearms when asked by authorities.

Colonel Romell Velasco, Bataan police director, said the suspect was placed under arrest.
