Bizman to focus on charitable programs

CLARK FREEPORT BBI aLeisure Inc., president and chief executive officer Irineo Alvaro Jr., is set to focus on philanthropic works as he announced his retirement from corporate duties.

BBI Leisure Inc., runs Eaglesky, Midori Hotel, and Aqua Planet.

“I am retiring from corporate work but I will still handle the corporate social responsibility of the company. More on charitable work,” Alvaro said during his retirement party on January 30.

Alvaro, 64, has served as president and CEO of BBI for 17 years. This time he will focus on the programs of Bridges for Benevolent Initiative Foundation (BBIF), the charitable arm of BBI.

Alvaro said he plans to help in managing some of their family businesses including Fiona’s Farm in Magalang town.

During his retirement party at Midori Hotel and Casino, Alvaro’s family and friends shared well-wishes for his retirement.

Among his well-wishers were CDC Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, former political adviser Ronald Llamas, and MACCI President Frankie Villanueva.
