"Release our benefits," CDC employees ask

CLARK FREEPORT The Association of Concerned CDC Employees (ACCES) has filed a motion for issuance of status quo ante order in connection with their stopped allowances and benefits guaranteed undet the Collective Bargaining Agreement or CBA.

The motion was filed by ACCES legal counsel Virgie Suarez before the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) national office in Manila.

Under the motion, Suarez asked that “a status quo ante order be issued specifically directing Clark Development Corporation to continue paying the rank and file employees’ benefits under the CBA (collective bargaining agreement).”

Earlier, DOLE has assumed jurisdiction to the ongoing labor disputes between Clark Development Corporation and its workers.

CDC employees have been fighting for the release of their benefits, and incentives including health coverage, retirement plan, cost-of-living allowance (Cola), housing, utilities and transportation allowances, the Meritorious Service Pay (MSP) based on length of service, and the retirement package or separation pay that is also based on the length of service.

The Clark workers said these benefits were granted on the basis of CBAs since the inception of the union in 1997.
