THE highest police official in Minglanilla town suggested that internet cafes that will be caught accommodating minors during curfew hours will be shut down.

His idea came up after most of the 64 minors whom they apprehended for violating the curfew ordinance were rescued from internet cafes on January 31.

But Minglanilla Police Station Chief Major Arieza Otida said his suggestion still needs the approval of the Municipal Council, which will create a resolution for it to become legal.

He said he will recommend to the council to regulate the operating hours of internet cafes. (BBT/TPT)
