FREE WiFi connection will be available in barangays in Cagayan de Oro soon, according to PLDT.
PLDT Vice President for Mindanao Benbrackie Melasa, Robert W. Suzon, who is also the Business Head of Northern Mindanao, along with Senior Relationship Manager Khass Navales met up with City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy and informed the mayor that the preparations for the internet connectivity have already begun.
The PLDT officials added that the WiFi connectivity may be available next month in the barangays of Cagayan de Oro.
It can be recalled that on November 24, 2022, Melasa and his team discussed the telecommunication company's proposal to provide free internet connections in the entire city with Uy.
According to Melesa, the said proposal is in line with the city mayor's agenda to bridge connectivity through information technology between barangays and city hall bureaucracy.
The telecommunications company plans to put up free internet connection in barangay covered courts, especially those near schools so that students could maximize its use.
