MASANTOL A Municipal Eco-Park will soon rise in Barangay Puti in this town.
The local government here and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources have signed a memorandum of agreement for the establishment of the said area.
Mayor Jose Antonio “Ton-Ton” Bustos said the construction of the eco-park is part of his administration’s agenda for environmental protection.
“Bukod po sa environment protection initiatives and benefits nito ay magkakaroon din po tayo ng ecological and botanical garden gayundin ang luntiang parke para sa mga senior citizens, PWDs at mga kabataang Masantoleno,” he said.
The soon-to-rise eco-park will also be part of the eco-tourism being pushed in this town.
Barangay Puti is located along the Pampanga Delta Dike Project which is a usual route of bikers going to the Consuelo Eco-Park in Macabebe.
Once finished, the Masantol Eco-Park is eyed to become one of the stopovers of bikers from different towns in Central Luzon.
