POLICEMEN arrested in manhunt operation in Zamboanga del Sur one of the most wanted persons in National Capital Region (NCR), the police reported Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
Police Colonel Diomarie Albarico, Zamboanga del Sur police director, identified the arrested suspect as Rene Sinlad, 44, listed as the number one most wanted person in NCR.
Albarico said that Sinlad was arrested in a manhunt operation around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at Purok Tinago in Campo V village, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.
Albarico said Sinlad was arrested by joint team of policemen of Zamboanga del Sur and National Capital Regional Police Office after his presence in Campo V village, was confirmed.
Albarico said Sinlad has pending warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued by a court in Pasig City dated November 28, 2022.
He said Sinlad is now under the custody of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station for documentation prior turned over to personnel of NCRPO for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
