THE most wanted person in Argao town, southern Cebu who is facing a frustrated homicide charge was arrested on Monday, September 26, 2022.

John Paul Mamolo Zamora, 28, was captured in his residence in Barangay Poblacion at 12:15 p.m. by operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Provincial Field Unit headed by Police Major Nazareno Emia and Argao Police Station by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Noel Darren Cenit Damian of Argao Regional Trial Court Branch 26.

A bail of P72,000 has been recommended by the court for Zamora's temporary liberty.

Zamora's charge arose when he allegedly stabbed his neighbor last June.

The police hinted at personal grudge as the motive behind the incident.

Meanwhile, Cebu City's number 4 most wanted person was nabbed on Friday, September 23, by the CIDG men in his residence in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

The CIDG Mandaue Field Unit headed by Police Major Richard John Machachor and the Mobile Force Company of the Cebu City Police Office conducted the operation that led to the arrest of the suspect, Robenito Casinilio Grondiano, 32.

The arrest was made based on a warrant issued by Judge Macaundas Hadjirasul of Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 8.

The suspect is facing a charge in violation of Republic Act of 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Grondiano was arrested during a drug raid in 2018 by operatives of Carbon Police Station 5, but was later released on probation after posting a bail.

He failed to attend the court hearings, prompting the court to order his arrest to serve his remaining jail term. (BBT, TPT)
