THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD 7) plans to start the registration and validation process of potential Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries on Feb. 15, 2023.

The activity will be done simultaneously across the region.

However, the agency began the pilot registration and validation of 50 potential beneficiaries in Barangay Basak-Pardo, Cebu City on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Maricor Rote, DSWD 7’s Beneficiary Data and Management focal person, said applicants must bring required documents such as the marriage certificate of the parents, the birth certificate, school enrollment certificate, health enrollment certificate of their children and valid identification card (ID), or other alternate documents, as part of supporting documents to be presented during the validation period.

“If ang potential beneficiary nato kay kulang pa sila sa supporting documents kay i-discourage nga mo-attend sa community assembly, kanang first meeting sa tanang beneficiary nga itawag kay adto ta mag-validation, suta-on nato ang households kung tinuod ug makapasar sa atung criteria,” Rote said during the “Kapihan sa PIA” program on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

(We discourage potential beneficiaries who don’t have all their supporting documents from attending the community assembly because we will also be conducting the validation during the meeting to determine which households passed the criteria.)

Cebu Province topped the registration of potential beneficiaries with 40,817 followed by Negros Oriental with 31,625, Bohol with 16,971, and Siquijor with 829.

Successful applicants will replace those who graduated or exited the program and were already self-sufficient, as well as 4Ps households with children who have completed their senior high school studies and have no monitored eligible children.
