THREE bills sponsored by Negros Occidental Third District Representative Jose Francisco Benitez passed on committee levels Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
House Bill 1448, authored by Benitez, is an act creating an additional branch of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in the Sixth Judicial Region to be stationed in Silay City, while House Bill No. 2334 is for the creation of an additional RTC in Victorias City.
Another Benitez bill that also passed the committee level is House Bill No. 2332, which is for the establishment of a Professional Regulation Commission Service Center in Victorias City.
"We are happy to announce that three House Bills for the Third District have passed at committee level," Benitez said on his Facebook account.
A new PRC Service Center in Victorias will decongest the workload of the PRC Service Center in Bacolod City, and will benefit not only the Third District but also local government units in the north of the province, Benitez added.
