P183M shabu found in abandoned vehicle

AUTHORITIES found over P183 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in an abandoned vehicle in Parañaque City, Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brigadier General Kirby John Kraft said on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Kraft said Mark Joseph Espinosa, a watchman of Barangay Tambo, sought for the conduct of inspection on a vehicle, a red Toyota Innova, that was parked along Quirino Avenue corner M. Delos Santos Street around 2 a.m. of February 9.

Espinosa said he first noticed the vehicle in the area around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 8.

Police said the doors of the vehicle were unlocked and all of its exterior features were intact.

Illegal drugs weighing 27 kilos valued at P183.6 million were found inside the vehicle.

The drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit.

Police are currently tracking the driver of the abandoned vehicle. (SunStar Philippines)
