AN ALLEGED drug syndicate member was arrested while some P142,800 worth of illegal drugs were seized in anti-drug operations in Zamboanga Cty, the police reported Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Police Brigadier General Neil Alinsañgan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Randy Gomeri, 31, an alleged member of the Baban Taman Drug Group.

Alinsañgan said Gomeri was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 6:32 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, in Sangali village, Zamboanga City.

He said seized from Gomeri were some 21 grams of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets with P142,800, a coin purse, and a P50 marked money.

Alinsañgan said the arrested suspect was placed under the custody of the Zamboanga City Police Office for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
