Homegrown pearl store Zafreen Pearl Collection had a successful grand opening on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Poblacion Market Central in Davao City.
Serving customers since 2013, Zafreen Pearl Collection relocated to a new and better home at Poblacion Market Central following the closure of Aldevinco along Roxas Avenue.
Now located on the 2nd floor Stall No. 36 & 41 of Poblacion Market Central in Bangoy Street, Barangay 4A, Davao City, the store promises to give customers a better experience.
“We actually started our soft opening here last June 2022, and today we finally held our grand relaunching. All visitors and locals are welcome to check what we have in store for them,” Juhayfah M. Dadayan, owner of Zafreen Pearl Collection, told SunStar Davao.
Available at the store are South Sea Pearls, Baby South Sea Pearls, and Freshwater Pearls. Price ranges from P100 to over P300,000.
Dadayan said they supply their pearls from Davao and Sulu.
“We are glad that the foot traffic now in our new location has reached the level of when we’re still in Aldevinco. Our old customers are now aware that we are here and we also gained new customers,” she said.
Dadayan started the business along with her husband Alinor R. Langco when she was just 20 and it has now grown to be their major source of income. They now have two children.
“It is really my hobby to create designs and accessories. I’m also fascinated with pearls. Maybe that’s one of our strengths – we make our own designs,” she said.
Dadayan’s collection reflects her love for pearls and designs.
“I also want to promote pearls because the Philippines is known for that. Wearing pearls also elevates one style. It’s appropriate on all occasions and it screams elegance,” she said.
At present, Zafreen Pearl Collection‘s customers are mostly returning Overseas Filipino Workers, foreigners, and visitors from Mice (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) events in Davao City.
