Nagtinguha nga mapugngan ang susamang mga insidente sama sa kang Jullebee Ranara, ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) mimando sa tanang Philippine recruitment agencies (PRAs) sa pag-monitor pag-ayo sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Sa Advisory No. 03-2023, gimando ni DMW Secretary Susan Ople ang mga PRA nga siguruhon nga nakahibalo sila sa kahimtang sa pagtrabaho sa ilang gipakatap nga mga OFW.
“All PRAs are enjoined to closely monitor the status, condition or significant events relating to their hired workers, especially when it involves issues such as, but not limited to, welfare matters, contract violation, accident, missing and/or runaway, and death, injury, detention, sexual abuse, and maltreatment of the worker, “ matud ni Ople.
Apan gawas sa pag-monitor kanila, ang hepe sa DMW niingon nga gilauman nga ang mga PRA motuman sa reportorial requirements mahitungod sa ilang mga OFWs.
“The PRAs are reminded of the submission of the accurate and regular reports pertaining to their deployed workers,” dason ni Ople.
Mahitungod sa mga nag-atubang og mga hulga sa ilang mga trabahoan, siya miingon nga ang mga PRA napugos sa paghatag kanila og hinanaling tabang.
“The PRAs are directed to promptly process the immediate repatriation of workers in urgent cases and extend the necessary assistance to ensure their health and safety,” ingon ni Ople.
Ang direktiba sa PRAs giisyu human sa pagpatay kang Ranara, kinsa nagtrabaho isip usa ka household service worker sa Kuwait.
