NCAA Season 98 volleyball unfolds Feb. 18

GMA Network rallies sports enthusiasts to “Achieve greatness every day” as the media giant airs the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 98 Volleyball Tournament beginning Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, live from the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

“With GMA Network having the widest reach in the country, more viewers in the Philippines and around the world can have access to NCAA games and updates. We are proud to be the home of the country’s first athletic collegiate league and to be part of the journey of our student-athletes who will be the country’s future national athletes. We wish all the volleyball players of the NCAA member schools all the best,” said first vice president and head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy and acting head of GMA Integrated News, Oliver Victor B. Amoroso.

The NCAA Season 98 Volleyball Tournament Opening Ceremony will be hosted by sports television host Martin Javier. The opening ceremony, which will start at 8 a.m., will be available via live stream for free on the NCAA Philippines website (www.gmanetwork.com/ncaa), NCAA Philippines Facebook page and YouTube channel, and GMA Sports’ Facebook and Twitter pages. Following the opening ceremony, the first game of the NCAA Season 98 Volleyball Tournament will see the rivalry between the men of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and San Sebastian College Recoletos. It will be livestreamed at 9 a.m.

This will be followed by the showdown between Season 97 Women’s Volleyball defending champion De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and San Sebastian College Recoletos and the match-up between Arellano University Lady Chiefs and José Rizal University’s Lady Bombers. The women’s games will be broadcast on GTV from 12 to 4 p.m.

On Feb. 19, the San Beda University Red Spikers and the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights face-off in the Men’s Volleyball game which will be livestreamed at 9 a.m. This will be followed by the Women’s games at 12 noon beginning with San Beda University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Lady Altas. Both the women’s games will be broadcast live on GTV. Later that day, the men’s teams of Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA battle it out. Sports enthusiasts can catch all the action online.

Last month, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA won the NCAA Season 98 Beach Volleyball crown for the Women’s and Men’s categories, respectively. (PR)
