AN ELECTRIC (e-bike) driver died after he was hit by a vehicle at Burgos Extension, Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City, on Thursday morning, February 23.
Police identified the fatality as Romulo Durable, 61, a resident of Barangay 28.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) records showed Durable was driving his Kenwie e-bike tricycle at about 6:15 a.m. when he was hit by the Isuzu MUX driven by Tristan Julius Teruel, a resident of Barangay Granada.
The victim sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, while Teruel surrendered to the police.
Meanwhile, a call center agent also died when she was hit by a motorcycle at Araneta Street, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, at about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, February 22.
Police identified the fatality as Erlynor Colango, 28, a resident of Talisay City.
BCPO records showed the victim was walking along Araneta Street when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Rex Evrile Pedrajas, 37, a resident of Barangay Tangub.
The victim sustained serious injuries. She was brought to the Bacolod South General Hospital, but she did not survive while Pedrajas surrendered to Police Station 8.*
