Exec: More international flights from CRK in 2023

CLARK FREEPORT An executive of the Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD), the operator of Clark International Airport, said more flights come to the new airport terminal.

During Pampanga Press Club’s press briefing at Park Inn by Radisson Clark, LIPAD Corporate Communications Officer Teri Flores said Eva Air is set to arrive in CRK this March.

The airline will connect Clark to Europe, North America, the US, and Canada through Taipei.

At present, CRK hosts 71 international and 27 domestic flights weekly with 4,000 passengers per day since January 2023.

Some of the airlines flying out of CRK airport are Cebu Pacific bound to Cebu; AirAsia and Royal Air both for Caticlan; and AirSwift for El Nido.

International operations in Clark airport include Qatar Airways for Doha; Emirates for UAE; Jeju Air and Jin Air (Jeju, Busan, and Incheon); Philippine Airlines for a visa-free flight to Gangwon for Yangyang Airport; Scoot and Jetstar bound for Singapore. Last year, CRK recorded a 282.2 percent growth, with a 521.7 percent increase in domestic passengers and a 255.57 percent increase in international passengers over the same period the previous year.

LIPAD Chief Executive Officer Noel Manankil said he sees this increase “not just as positive signs of recovery by the travel industry but also of the attraction of the use of the new CRK terminal to travelers.”
