BOC seizes 5.7-M ‘shabu’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO At least P5.7 million worth of shabu were recently seized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark.

The illegal drugs were concealed in buttons inside a shipment labeled “dress.”

BOC District Collector John Simon said the cargo containing the substance arrived in the country on February 14 from Harare, Zimbabwe.

The package was subjected to K9 sniffing, x-ray scanning, and physical examination procedures which led to the discovery of around 838.6825 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) hidden inside 255 dress buttons and in the side walls of the carton box.
