CANDABA Some 80 modified and loud mufflers were destroyed by the local policebon Monday morning.

Lieutenant Colonel Gerald Licyayo, chief of the town police, said the destroyed mufflers were confiscated from riders during the conduct of checkpoints and Oplan Sita around the municipality.

“The confiscation and destruction of the loud mufflers is compliance to the instruction of Mayor Rene Maglanque to implement the town’s Anti-Noise Ordinance,” said Licyayo.

A stomp machine was utilized by the local police to destroy the modified mufflers.
