2 girls rescued in CSF anti-human trafficking op

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO A Chinese national was arrested by police authorities while two female minors were rescued from human trafficking in this capital city.

Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo, director of Police Regional Office III, said an entrapment and rescue operation launched in Northville Barangay Calulut in this city resulted in the arrest of foreigner.

The suspect was identified as Chaoping Tong, 60, Chinese national who was residing in the area of entrapment operation.

The two rescued victims, who were exploited as sex slaves, were temporarily put under the custody of the Regional Anti-Trafficking Task Group.

A suspected pimp, identified as “Shine,” managed to escape during the operation.

Charges for violation of Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act and Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act will be filed against the suspect.
